How to get High Quality DA 90+ Backlinks in 2019 (10 Trusted Strategies)

If you are struggling to build backlinks or drive free traffic to your website, then make sure you read this article until the end. Because I will be sharing my 100% working strategies that I have learned in dong SEO.

The higher the amount of high quality relevant backlinks that you have for your website, the easier it will be for you to beat your competition and rank number 1 for your target keywords.

Driving massive free traffic to your website will be a piece of cake if you learn the art of building backlinks. Before moving forward, this video is lesson 8 of our free affiliate marketing mastery course.

And this course I share how to scale an Amazon affiliate website from $0 - $1,000/month. Before I tell you about creating backlinks, I have to mention one thing. That specifically in India, I have had so many interns and all the people are talking about “comment backlinks” “forum backlinks” and “directory submissions”. Honestly guys, these are the worse backlinks that you can make. These used to work in 2011 and 2012.

But especially in 2019, none of these works. And rather than help your website, these will rather give you a Google penalty. And your website will get zero traffic. So guys, please, please, please stay away from comment backlinks, or forum backlinks and directory submissions. And all these digital marketing institutes are still teaching these methods. So guys since you’re my students, I highly recommend you guys to please stay away from such kinds of backlinks they’re not worth it.

So let’s say you are targeting an article like “best dslr in India”. To find the link opportunities, what you have to do is first search for your target keyword, let’s say you are searching for “best dslr in India”. Open the article that Is ranking number one, copy the URL, open ahrefs, go to site explorer, add the URL here and click on search. Now this will give you all the referring domains that are pointing to this particular article.

Now I am using ahrefs, I know it’s a paid tool and not every one of you can afford it. I will be showing you the free alternative as well which is Ubersuggest. So let me first tell you about ahrefs. Now this is the best technique to find backlink opportunities. Now since these websites are already linking to your target article, it’s much easier to email them, or contact this website and ask for a link to your website as well. And also you have to make sure that all the links that you are building are “do-follow”. You can then export this list as well.

Here the anchor text is best DSLR. So it’s a keyword-reach anchor text and also the domain authority of the website that is referring to this particular article is also very high, 64 domain rank. So definitely the website, the quality of the article- so one- whenever you are looking at backlink opportunity, you have to look at 3 factors.

First is the domain rank or the domain authority (DR). Here the domain rank of this particular website, which is referring the backlink, you can see it’s 64. It’s very high, that means that the quality of the backlink will be really high. Secondly you have to look at the relevancy. Here you can see that the article is referring, that is giving the backlinks as “best digital camera in India”.

So definitely the relevancy is also very high because the backlinks are targeting towards the DSLR –related article, right? So both these metrics are really amazing. The domain rank and the relevancy. The third thing that you have to look at is the anchor text. Here, the anchor text is “Best DSLR” so the keyword that is used to make the backlink is the anchor text.

Similarly you can check all the other referring domain as well. Then what you can do is just open the website here, find the email address. To find the email address, there are multiple domain extensions. You can also use a Google extension called “email hunter”. So all you have to do is find the email address of this website, and send them an email that you are also looking for a- that you have also written a high quality article and it will really be nice if they can link back to your article or any other they that they’ll be able to link to your article.

And now since this website is a very high authority website, it’s highly unlikely that they will reply to your email. So guys, one thing I have to tell you is that creating backlinks is not that easy. Because people think that creating backlinks is a piece of cake, but then again it’s difficult especially in 2019 when backlink is becoming more like a price commodity. So don’t think that you’ll be able to create hundreds of backlinks in few days. It takes a lot of time and patience. Like I use a particular software for sending all the emails.

I use a software called “ninjaoutreach”. Earilier I used to use “BuzzStream” as well. Both of these are paid tools. These are used to send email scripts to thousands of people at a time. And if you’re looking for a free alternative, you can use “GMass”. It’s a free alternative software. With these tools, you can create various campaigns, various templates. You can create- so like for this campaign I added 250 blogs in here and I sent them- almost 165 emails were sent. So what it does it- all of you have to do is add all the website, like here I can see, I can open this particular campaign.

So to all these websites here, my email was sent. And I was asking them for a link one way or another and few of them replied to me and then my team handles them. They give the follow-up, sometimes people ask for money, sometimes people ask for guest- sometimes they just give the link just because the article has a really high quality. So this is the software I use, it’s called “ninjaoutreach”.

I will be creating a very comprehensive tutorial on how to do this. Apart from that you can also check YouTube videos on how to use “ninjaoutreach”. But this is a paid tool, you have to invest some money for that. Second alternative is Buzzstream, it is also a very nice tool. I used to use it early. This is just an alternative for “ninjaoutreach”. If you are looking for a free alternative you can use GMass.

So guys the best technique is to look at your competitor’s backlinks and pitch them to get your backlinks. So now the next question in your mind will what exactly to email to these guys. So I will be creating a repository… so for that I have created a PDF file where I have added all the email scripts that I am using to send to my prospects. So to get that PDF file all you have to do is like the video, and comment on this video “yes, I want it”. And I will share the PDF with you in the description section of this video.

So if you’re not using ahrefs, if you’re not investing in ahrefs and you still want to build the backlinks so there is good news for you. So there is this tool called Ubersuggest by Neil Patel. Just until last night, they were not offering the backlink opportunity. While I’m recording this video, just today they have launched the backlinks feature as well.

So here I can see that I’ve added this website called “techradar.com” I can see that for every article, like I’m in the top pages section, that in every article, how many backlinks that this article have. So it has 225 backlinks. All I have to find the backlink opportunity is click here on “view all”. So these are all the websites that are referring to this particular article. Similarly you can do this for any articles on this particular domain.

You can also export these backlink opportunities to excel sheet and download it for later reference. And it also gives the domain score like the authority power of the backlink and the link type, whether it’s a textual backlink or an image backlink etc. And also the anchor text, like what exactly is the keyword which is used to build the backlinks. So guys, whenever I am building backlinks for my affiliate website.

My process is to first make a list of my competing domains. People who are already ranking in Google search engine. Then my next step is to take each domain, add it to the site explorer in ahrefs and download all the referring domains that are referring to this particular website. Then I sort them from no-follow to do-follow. Like, I only click the do-follow backlinks and then I add all those domain names in NinjaOutreach here. And then I start sending them my emails script of asking for a backlink.

Honestly guys, I cannot give you a one best recipe for building backlinks that will work. Also guys, very important tip. Stay away from websites like Fiverr… when you’ll be searching for “backlinks” here, they’ll be so many options like “I will boost your Google ranking with SEO backlinks” and so many other shitty services. Guys, trust me, these will not help your website. Instead of helping your website, they will give you a Google penalty. So stay away from these services which are very cheap.

Trust me, that is my experience talking, stay away from such services. Similarly, there’s another website called “SEOClerks”. They also offer backlinks. Guys, these cheap backlinks are not worth it. The best kind of backlink is one that is highly relevant to your article. Which is coming from a high domain website, and also has a good anchor text. Also there is something called PBN which is something called “private blog network”. Once you start building the backlinks, sooner or later you’ll hear about PBN.

You can also buy PBN links to get your website ranked. But this comes under the gray hat area or rather purely black hat. So what this does is- you might be able to rank your website for a- maybe a month, a couple of months, so maybe even for a year. But then again, it depends on the luck. If a new Google update comes up and your PBN is blacklisted, then your website ranking will go to 0. And also there are chances that your website ranking will never improve with PBN links.

So I will highly recommend to stay away from PBNs, or Fiverr links or SEOClerks links. They will not help your website, they will rather give you a Google penalty. So my best strategy is to first, go to ahrefs, add you competitor’s URL here in the site explorer. My strategy is to make a list of your competitor, and add their domain names one by one in ahrefs or Ubersuggest, whichever one you are using.

Download all their referring domains, and start emailing them one-by-one. If you’re using a free or alternative, you can use GMass. If you’re using automated software like me, you can use NInjaOutreach or BuzzStream. And for all the email scripts that I am using to build backlinks, all you have to do is like the video, and subscribe to the channel and comment with “yes, I want it” and I will share all the email scripts, in the description section. Now for the next technique to build backlinks, you need to put in some efforts in the beginning. But it will drive you free traffic, as well as few initial backlinks, whenever you’re building your first Amazon affiliate website.

So the technique is about creating a very comprehensive article on the top experts on your niche. Your website could be on any niche. It could be guitar niche, it could be fashion niche, or it could be dog niche or anything. So the idea is to create a very comprehensive article of all the blogs that exist in the dog niche, or whatever niche your website is in and feature them in your article. So for that, what you’ll have to do first create an excel sheet like this. So here, the last name, first name, contact, the email address, the URL of the website you’ll be featuring and the type of website it is it could be blog, it could be commerce, etc.

We’ll be focusing primarily on blog and the domain authority. Because this is a very important metric. We need backlinks from high authority websites, so that the backlink power is high. So let’s say your website is in the guitar niche. So all you have to do is search “top guitar blogs” and open all the articles that rank. Then what you have to do is, go through each of the blog that is listed on this article and add them to your excel sheet. So like here, the first is premiere guitar.

So add the premiere guitar domain URL, type of the website it is, and also check the domain authority using all the extensions on the website. Then find an email address. So let’s say if dwe go to the website, so we’ll just- so let’s say we just go to the website and we’ll copy the URL. We’ll add this to our list here. Similarly, we’ll try to find the contact address. So to find the contact address, there’s a very amazing extension which is free. All you have to do is search for “email hunter chrome” and click on this first result.

And add this extension to your chrome. Add this extension and this will really help you in finding the email address of the majority of the websites. Apart from that, you can also search for “contact” and check the contact page. Most of the time, the email address will be present in the contact page as well. Or you can use other extensions as well. So this way all you have to do is, populate this excel sheet will all the blogs. So from 1… to 2… to 3… to 4.

And that’s- similarly make a list of at least 100 to 200 blogs here. So not just this article, you should check all the articles which should feature the various guitar blogs. So this way you’ll have a very comprehensive list of your targets that you can focus on. If you don’t want to do this work yourself, you can also outsource this on any freelancing website like “Freelancer.in” or “Upwork”. Now the next step is to create the article. This again you can write it yourself or again outsource it on iWriter.

Like the one I mentioned on another video. So all you have to do is, for every URL here, just open the URL and make a short description, take a screenshot of the home page and similarly a short description about the website. You can do it yourself or you can outsource it. And this way you can add a very comprehensive article on your website, your affiliate website. So this way you’ll have a very comprehensive article of top expert blogs on your niche. Your niche can be anything. So once your article is done and published, now comes the part of promoting it and also getting backlinks for it.

So for that all you have to do is, once your article is published. So there are few email scripts that you have to use. Like in the sheet we also added the contact address here, right? So this is where we’ll be using it for all the people who have been featured on your article. You have to email this email script to all of them. Like email subject “we love your awesome blog!” and here, “hi, name- name of the person”.

You’ll be substituting the name field for the name here. “Love what you’re doing on the site name”. Here you’ll be mentioning the site name. Just wanted to give you the heads up that you were featured in my new article, add the article title here. And the- your article link here… And I really hope it will deliver some new visitors to your site. So this way in a way, you are boosting the ego of the other person… that they have been featured on your blog. So everyone loves appreciation, so they are likely to share your article on various social media platforms and they would give you a reply.

There will also be people who will not be replying to your email. So you can also send a follow up and I highly recommend you guys to do a follow up, because I’ve seen at least 20 – 30% people replying to me when I send the follow-up. So in the follow up, you just have to send the “I was thinking about you” in the subject line. Hi (name), just checking to see if you have received the last email that I sent you. And again, mention the link. So this way you’ll be able to reach most of the bloggers that have been featured. And either they will be replying to you or thanking you or some of them will even be sharing your article. Now comes the backlinking part.

So using this technique you were able to build relationship with these few expert bloggers on your niche. Now, all you have to do is send this particular email script to them. Hi (name). Glad you liked it. I’m a big fan of your blog. By the way, I’m still new to this whole blogging world and I would love to contribute a guest post on your blog. Give them 3 ideas, some really good titles which they are more likely to approve on their website. And this way you can do a guest posting on their site. And in the guest post you can include a backlink to your homepage, or to an article that you are targeting.

So I know this particular process is a little lengthy one because you have to first complete this excel sheet then you have to get this article written. And then you have to promote it, send the emails. But then again I have seen the conversion rate is comparatively higher, compared to the other methods that we do for backlink building.

So this will really help you in getting those initial backlinks when your website is new. And… so I highly recommend this technique. One other thing that you can do is that you can also send a badge. Like you can create a free badge on Canva.com. You can add text here like top expert 2019, whatever year it is going. Top dog food expert if your niche is dog food. And you can also send this badge along with the email that you have been featured in the blog. So many people add this badge on their homepage or on their site.

This again will help you get few backlinks. If anyone embeds this badge on their website. So this was the technique of building backlinks to top experts kind of articles. So you can use this technique as well, whenever you are starting a new affiliate website. Now the next technique will be guest posting and I love guest posting because the conversion rate of getting backlinks is comparatively higher, because you are also providing a high-quality content to the other person.

So it’s a win-win situation for both of the people. So to find a guest-posting opportunity, all you have to do is enter the niche. Your niche here- you can- your niche could be anything. It could be guitar with the double quotes and the guest post. So all these websites are accepting the guest post. All you have to do is make a copy of this particular tab here, and you’ll get a copy here. And again, instead of this, we’ll rename it to guest post opportunities. And again, we’ll make a comprehensive sheet of all the opportunities that we could find. So go from each article by article.

Again you can do this yourself or you can outsource it through freelancers. All you have to do is go to the website. Go to the contact or the guest post here. And you’ll see that they might even have an email address, like here is the email address “josh@guitaradventures.com”. Copy it at the contact data, add the name like “Josh” the URL of the website, domain authority, etc. Make sure you do ask comprehensive research as possible. Try to find as many opportunities as you can find.

I’ll recommend you guys to outsource this work by creating a video tutorial and outsourcing it for freelancing websites. So once you have this done, all you have to do is send them emails for a guest posting page. And in the guest posting page, you’ll be asking them that you want to send a high quality article on their website and that in return you just want a do-follow back link. I’ve seen that I have been able to convert 2 – 3 persons of my emails in to actual backlinks.

So guest posts is something that I highly recommend to you guys. I will recommend you guys to start with the top expert, then also do the technique that I did in the start of this video, of looking at the backlinks of your competitors, while side by side doing the guest posting. If you want my email template on how I build my guest post links on my website, then you can like and subscribe to the channel and comment “yes, I want it”.

And I’ll share all the email scripts that I’ve shared on this video and also many more emails that will really help you in building backlinks for your website. Now the next technique is guestographic. In guest posting you are sending an article to your website. In guestographic you are sending an infographic. So what to do is, create an amazing infographic on your website. Honestly there’s this amazing article by Backlinko.com on how to get backlinks using guestographics techniques.

I highly recommend you guys to read this entire article. It’s an amazing resource and I use this technique myself. I know it will require you to create an amazing infographic but then again, creating backlinks is not that easy. You need to invest some time, or energy or money. If you want to scale an Amazon affiliate website. So I highly recommend you guys to read this article on Backlinko.com on how to get backlinks. Using the guestographics technique. The technique is all about creating a high quality infographic and then promoting it, just like you are reaching out for a guest post.

And many of the websites will start giving you backlinks and then they’ll feature your guestographics on their website. The best part about guestographic is for guest post technique, you have to write a new article for every website. But with the guestographic one infographic once, and you can get as many backlinks as possible using a single infographic. So that’s the best part about guestographic. You can even go one step ahead if you can create an animatic infographic. Now I know that creating something like this won’t be possible if you don’t have the design background, so you can outsource it and create an amazing infographic- animated infographic like this.

So creating backlinks will be much more easier if you go one step ahead and create something like this and do the outreach process and send those email scripts. And many of the people will be happy to lend to you. Like this is another amazing inforgraphic. So find ideas on how you can create an animated infographic for your niche. And then use the outreach process to build backlinks to your site.

And one last thing that I highly recommend you guys to do is go to this website, Backlinko.com. And read all their articles. Like go to the blog section and read all his articles. Similarly go into “ahrefs.com/blog”. And read all these articles as well. They have some really, really amazing tricks on how to build high quality backlinks. And this will really improve your SEO game. Similarly there is this 3rd website called “robbierichards.com”. And I highly recommend you guys to again visit and read all the articles of this website.

So these 3 websites, if you are reading all the articles, these are more than enough for you to find all the tactics that actually work in building backlinks. These are the pros of SEO- these guys know how to rank their articles to number one for very, very high competitive keywords. And guys, there is no magic ways to backlinks. I cannot give you a list of websites where you can directly go and sign up to get backlinks. Backlink is a very slow process.

I have a team of almost 9 people working for me just for SEO itself. And trust me there are days when we are not even able to build single backlink. Even with the 9 member team. So if you’re going the white hat way, if you’re going with high quality and low quantity. Then, it’s a slow area. But then again the results will be amazing, because once your website gets ranked, you will be getting the free traffic, for all the years to come.

So now let’s go through the Top 10 SEO tips that you have to keep in mind, while building backlinks.

  1. Focus on quality not on quantity. One quality backlink is 100 times powerful than 1,000 low quality backlinks.
  2. Focus more on do-follow backlinks and less on no-follow backlinks. This does not mean that you won’t be building nay no-follow backlinks, because even having 100% do-follow backlinks will look shady in the eyes of Google
  3. Have patience. SEO is not a sprint, rather a marathon. You cannot expect to see results in just few days, rather, the results will start coming after few months.
  4. Don’t just focus on off-page SEO or creating backlinks. You should also your energy on on-page SEO. Like writing an SEO-friendly article, internal linking and doing SEO audit.
  5. A relevant article for a low quality website is more powerful, than a non-relevant backlink from a high-authority website.
  6. Don’t create all your backlinks using the same anchor text. Rather, diversify your anchor texts, throughout your backlinks.
  7. Don’t buy backlinks from any of these services like Fiverr.com or SEOClerks.com. Instead of helping your website, this shady backlinks will rather give you a penalty from Google.
  8. I have seen in many YouTube videos who call themselves SEO gurus, they ask their viewers to go to the comment section and make comment backlinks. Trust me guys, they are not worth it. You should never make comment backlinks. First of all, they are no-follow and they will not help your website, at all.
  9. If you really want to be good at link-building, you have to invest some money on a good SEO tool. The tool that I recommend and personally use is ahrefs. This tool alone is helping me create backlinks for all my affiliate websites combined.
  10. You should also have 20% of your overall backlinks, pointing towards your homepage. It’s all about looking natural and organic. If you are building all your backlinks to just the articles and not the homepage of your website, this looks shady.

So make sure 20% of your backlinks are pointing towards your homepage and the rest 80% are pointing towards the, articles. So what are your next steps?

Making Money Online 6 Things I Do to Make $18,000+ a Month Online

Lol, I’ve actually had to do this 4 times throughout my life…

And each time was way less than 28 days (longest was 11), so I’ll just tell you exactly what I did.
We’ll go with the last time I did this, when I was the most experienced…

And it happened a couple years ago when I was finally getting my bank account back to a good place.
I was fired from my job about a year before that, and after not being able to find another job right away…

I immediately went into a financial downfall and let’s just say, things sucked for a few months…
But I didn’t know what else to do, so I finally decided I was going to become a freelancer and earn money that way.

As with every new venture, it seemed a lot easier in the beginning…

But after I got into the thick of it, I learned that was far from the case.

This led to me “hustling” for the next few months, then after hitting absolute burnout…

I finally swallowed my pride and purchased 2 online courses, one that was going to teach me a new skill and one that was going to teach me how to get jobs on Upwork.

Hustled through those courses over the next couple weeks, then 3.5 weeks after starting them…

I’d landed a long-term client at $45/hr, and well - life turned around pretty quick after that.

Not saying I was rich or anything, but it was nice to have a constant stream of income coming in again and gave me some breathing room to figure things out…

So after a little bit of thought, I decided to find more clients and pad my bank account until I was in a place to where I could try out other ventures.

Fast forward 12 months…

And I was sitting in a decent place financially, so I decided to put freelancing on the back burner and pursue other options.

I’ve tried so many gotdamn business ideas in my day that I can’t even remember which one I was chasing at this time, but if I remember correctly - I think this was around the time I was creating an e-commerce store with a friend of mine…

And I had enough cash to live for awhile, so there wasn’t really any urgency…
Until one day when I checked my bank account and noticed all my money was gone.
Confused, I called my bank right away…

And that’s when I was notified that a large back debt had come back to bite me in the ass, leaving me with pennies to survive…

Oh, and top of this?
I had 4 days until rent was due.
Frantic was an understatement, so I spent the first 6 hours running around, not getting anything accomplished…

But then I finally calmed down and realized I had to figure out something, ASAP.
This is when I started writing down different ways I could make money right away, and even though I came up with a bunch of ideas - I finally realized there was only one method I knew for sure…
Freelancing, but here was the problem - I’d always landed off Upwork.

Now this wouldn’t of been a problem from a getting clients right away standpoint, but it was a problem with getting paid on time - as they didn’t release the funds until 6 days AFTER the job was completed…

So I knew that wasn’t an option.
This led to me doing a little more research, and after finding some information/getting very creative…

I finally put together a plan that helped me land $1,500 in 4 days - and here’s exactly how I did it.

Step #1 - Created a package that people will pay for

It always makes me laugh when people say making money is “so hard”, because when you really think about it - making money is actually extremely simple.

In the simplest terms, it’s really just an exchange in value…

Where you’re doing something for somebody who would consider the exchange worth $1,500 on their end...

So with that thought in mind, I started combining my skills in a way that would offer a perceived value of $1,500.

Now I’m a sales copywriter, so this did give me a lot of options…

But after writing down everything I could do, I finally decided I was going to create a Facebook funnel that’d generate leads for CPA (accounting) Firms.

Did this because I also have my Master’s in Tax, so I knew CPA firms would love me…

And on top of this, creating a Facebook funnel (which was really just a landing page and Facebook Ad) wouldn’t take that long…

But if I could generate leads for them, I also knew they wouldn’t care how long it took me.
Anyway, after I decided on this package, I started Googling around for “virtual accounting firms” and after doing this for a solid 30 minutes…

I’d created a list of people who might pay for these services.

As for how I created this list, I simply followed the criteria of:
  • Must be in business for the last 3 years (did this by checking the age of their domain)
  • Must be young, like under 35 (as they’re the ones who are more likely to try Facebook Ads)
  • And had to offer packages of $2K or up…
Which funny enough, I think it’s a bad idea to actually state your prices on a website…
But I also knew people did this, so I looked through their websites and weeded them out that way.

I actually found 4 prospects that fit my criteria in these 30 minutes, so after that I moved onto:

Step #2 - Creating a training video

Remember, time was of the essence…

So I really couldn't afford to do the traditional method of:
  • Cold email
  • Get them on the phone
  • Explain everything
  • Wait 2 weeks for them to make a decision
  • Etc...
Which is why I decided to chop off 90% of the process by creating a training video that not only explained what I did (because they always want to have a decent understanding of what I do)...
But at the end of the video, I made sure to mention how much it could help them as well.

Did this in a few different ways, but my main bread and butter was showing them previous results I’d gotten…

Then asking how amazing it would be to land a $2K client for $100 in ad spend (which is something I’ve done a time or two)....

And after I got through all that, I mentioned how I could do the same for them, but I don’t take on any client…

So if they were interested in working with me, they’d have to click on the button below and setup a time for a free consultation (if it makes any difference, I used Scheduling appointments and meetings is super easy with Calendly. for the scheduling software).

Did this because it’s very important to get clients on the phone, as they hardly take action right away if you don’t…

So after that was ready, I subscribed to a free trial of Landing Page Builder & Conversion Platform for Marketers | Landing Page Software (landing page software), uploaded my video/consultation link…

Then moved onto:

Step #3 - Emailing my short list

I just searched through my old emails for a good 20 minutes trying to find the email I sent, but they’re nowhere to be found and I can’t remember the exact templates…
But I do know it was something along the lines of:

Hey Josh,
I know you’re busy and I respect your time, so I’ll cut straight to the chase…
Over the last year or so I’ve specialized in helping online CPA firms grow their business with a simple 2-step funnel.
This is a process I actually created for my own bookkeeping business, but after seeing how amazing it worked I decided to venture out and help others with it…
Which provided me with a lot of steady clients along the way, but I actually had a spot open up recently, so I’ve been searching around for somebody who might be a great fit…
And after reading through your website, it looks like something that could help you- reason why I’m reaching out.
If you’re interested, I created a training video that explains my entire process - and you can find that at the link below:
(Insert video link)
But if not, no worries at all…
Just wanted to reach out in case you might be interested.
-Sean

This works well as it’s short and straight to the point, while also avoiding all “sales” (as the video does that)...

So I sent this email out to all 4 of them and patiently watched my email after that, hoping for a consultation to come in soon.

I remember sending out the email later on in the evening (like 8:30 p.m. CST), so I didn’t expect a response that night…

And didn’t get one, but the next morning when I was at the gym - the greatest message came through on my phone…

Somebody (ok, it was actually Josh) had signed-up for a free consultation in 2 hours.
This led to me cutting my workout a little short, mainly so I could go home and prepare for our call (but also because I was too excited to pump iron after that)…

Then 2 hours later it was time for our call, so I rang him up and started:

Step #4 - Closing the deal

Now one thing most people don’t realize is that in order for people to buy right away, they have to have a reason to do so.

If not, they’ll “just think about it” forever…

So after we got through the small talk, we immediately jumped into the important part…
And since I’d already given him that training video, he didn’t have many questions…

Except for the big one, “how much would this cost me?”
This is when I went into my spiel, telling him about the “other costs” he’d have to consider, such as ad spend and landing page software…

Then after that, I mentioned how my normal price for this was $2K, and that could be paid half up front, with the other half due on completion…

But if he was interested, I also offered a 25% discount for anybody who paid in full.
I could tell he got to thinking about it after hearing this, so after that I mentioned how I only had one spot open right now, and I also had 3 consultations later on that day…

So if possible, I asked if he could give me an answer soon - that way I could let the others know before our call.

He thanked me for my time, told me he’d think about it, and a few hours later I’d received this email:

Which meant I’d made enough money to pay rent and be able to eat again, with an entire day to spare.

Long story short…

Now obviously this exact method isn’t going to work for everybody, as you might not have the exact skill I had…

But the same principles can apply to any situation:
  • Offer something people would be willing to pay for
  • Create some sort of “training manual” that not only explains how you do it, but also how much it can benefit them (which essentially serves as digital salesman)
  • Identify your target market (somebody who can afford your services and would want your offer)
  • Create a list of prospects
  • Email them in a way that gets them to watch the video
  • Do this until you get a free consultation to come in
  • Get them on the phone
  • Offer a special package that gets them to pay enough upfront to cover whatever you need
  • And if needed, create some sort of urgency so they decide soon...
Oh, and here’s the bonus hint - make sure you actually do the work…

Because if you don’t, they can easily dispute the charges and I’ve never had problems with this…

But I’ve read stories about other freelancers who couldn’t perform the work, so the client complained to PayPal…

And they lost every single time, which put them back to square one.
Hope this helps, and if you want to learn about setting up a side hustle that can prepare you for situations like this down the road…

13 Ways You Can Absolutely make $100 - $200 dollars a day online

There are plenty of ways to make $100 - $200 per day online, but like with making $100 -$200 offline, expect to put in a lot of effort.

Here’s the process I used to do this:
  1. Create a process that provides value
  2. Package this into a service
  3. Find people who will purchase that service
  4. Hire and delegate this process to your employees.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4.

This resulted in over $180,000 annual recurring revenue and my first business sale.

The only time I stepped outside of the house for this business was to file a fictitious business name statement. Everything else was done in my room on my computer. While the first 8 months or so were rough, I was eventually able to delegate most of my responsibility to the point where I was spending around 2–5 hours per month to operate the business.

My Story

Senior year of college I started playing around with marketing. I was an accounting and finance major, so what did I know? My budget was very tight, but I needed an effective way to market one of my startups.

I stumbled upon some articles on how to effectively market one’s business with Instagram, and after some testing and tweaking, came up with a process that allowed me to effectively get the attention of those within my business’s target audience through the social media platform.

Somewhere along the way, small businesses began contacting me on Instagram to help them grow their following. The next thing I knew, I had 10 clients. I only viewed this as a side project that was earning me a small amount of money to help fund my main startup, but before I knew it, I had 20 clients, then 30, then 100.

I charged just $15 per month for this service, as it required very little time on my end per client, but as I was surpassing 100 clients, I knew I needed some help. I began outsourcing some of this work, increased the price to $30 per month, and focused my attention on marketing this service.
The clients kept on signing up and I continued to focus on marketing and hiring and training employees. Soon we reached $15,000 monthly recurring revenue and were growing by 15% each month.

As I spent so much time training my employees and delegating my responsibilities to them, I had reached a point where I was spending around 2–5 hours per month on this business. This allowed me plenty of time to focus on my other projects, which included an app to help those with food allergies find the best local meals, a proprietary device to help men with erectile dysfunction, a service to promote restaurants and food brands through the help of foodie micro-influencers, a service to provide business owners and marketers with unlimited custom designs for a flat monthly rate, and a
 few others.

Takeaway

With an ever-increasing number of responsibilities, I sold this business to focus on my other ventures and to allow myself the ability to adventure into my growing interest in real estate. While this one business single-handedly allowed me to make over $200 per day without having to step outside of my house, it more importantly allowed me to grow as an entrepreneur and learn the importance of delegation.

The business model that I utilized is one that I am deploying with my other projects and one that I am confident can bring success to anyone that takes advantage of it.

There are plenty of ways to make $100 – $200 per year online, and they all involve finding a way to provide value for others and turning it into a service or product. Start looking for ways that you can provide value to others, and then get ready to work your butt off :).

How can I make over 4000$ per month online with Proof

3 years ago I was fired from my job and it was the worst g’damn feeling of my life.

In the blink of an eye I went from “wealthy” 25-year old who was making bank and on top of the world…

To broke ass who couldn’t leave my house and had no idea what I was going to do after that.
This scared the hell out of me and I was lost, not sure what I should do next…

But I did know one thing, I was never going to work for anybody again in my life.
The company I was working for bribed me with a severance check in exchange for a signature saying I wouldn’t talk about it, but let’s just say…

My “firing” was a prime example of revenge, where another co-worker made up a blatant lie because they were mad I got a promotion over them.

Now that’s all in the past and it’s whatever, but one thing will always stick with me…

The idea that one person had so much control over my lifestyle, being able to take away my only source of income and throw me to the wolves — without any heads up.

This is the moment where I realized I needed to start my own business, but there was one problem…
I had no idea where to start.

I didn’t have enough money to start a “traditional business”…
And I really didn’t want to do manual labor (i.e. lawn mowing)…
So realizing I was stuck, I decided to jump on Google and search around for different ideas I could do for free (or low-cost).

At first I came across some “good” ideas, like starting a home-based bookkeeping business or being a dog walker…

But nothing really stuck out to me, until I came across an article that changed my life

This article, titled “21 Side Hustles You Could Start Today”…

Didn’t cover the “traditional” ideas that I’d heard of before, like bookkeeping or dog walking…

But instead, it talked about things that were completely new to me.
Topics like:
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Dropshipping
  • Online courses
  • SEO…
And 17 other things I’d never heard of before, but they all had one common thread…

I could work from anywhere and make money at all times of the day, even as I slept.
Now obviously this was something that really pulled me in, as everybody wants the freedom these methods provide…

But that was the problem, they all sounded great and I didn’t know where to start.
This made me go on another round of research, trying to see what methods other people have used in the past…

And that’s when I found exactly what I was looking for, an article from Jeff Rose talking about how he’d made over $1M in passive income with blogging.

After reading this article and seeing his success, I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do…

So that night I began putting together everything he mentioned.
I started off by finding my target market…
Then I bought my domain…

Then I created my website…
And finally, I signed up for 20+ affiliate links — giving me everything I needed to start making money right away.

The next day, my journey began

I woke up the next morning pretty early as I was excited to start my new venture…
And as all the pros told me to do, I started off my creating my posting schedule.

I was really excited to start getting traffic from SEO, so I decided to blog twice a day and expedite the results…

Then once that happened, I’d reevaluate my strategy after that.

I stayed on track for the first 30 days, not missing a beat and posting religiously…

Then once day 30 hit, I finally allowed myself to look at Google Analytics and the affiliate marketing sales — seeing how much money I’d made and all the organic traffic I’d created along the way.

I remember pulling up my analytics screen like it was yesterday, expecting to have AT LEAST 1,000 views by now as I’d created 60 articles over the last 30 days, following every SEO guideline out there…

But then I saw the actual results, and started to panic right away.
Here I was hoping for (at least) 1,000 views from my hard work, but as I’m sure you can guess, it was far from it…

Coming in at a whopping 79 views, slightly under the mark.
By that time I didn’t even want to look at my affiliate account as I knew it wasn’t going to be good, but I figured it couldn’t get worse…

So I checked it out anyway, and there it was — the big goose egg. Zero dollars and zero cents.

Not knowing what else to do, I doubled down

I took a few hours to let the pain wear off before thinking about what I was going to do next, but once I finally did — I realized I had no idea what to do.

I was following all the advice I could find…

And confident I was doing everything I needed to do, so after a little bit of thought, I realized there was only one thing I could do…

Work harder.

That’s when I decided to increase my output from 2 blogs to 3 blogs every day for the next 30 days, knowing this would start bringing traffic for sure and solve all my problems after that.
Over the next 4 weeks I followed my blogging schedule to the T, and even though I was on the brink of burnout this entire time…

I was happy I’d stuck with it and even more excited to see my results.
That evening I decided to change things up and check my affiliate marketing sales first, then I’d worry about traffic later…

And after logging into my Rakuten account, I couldn’t help but have a mental breakdown.
After all that work, putting in 80 hours a week and isolating myself from pretty much all human contact for 60 days…

I’d generated a whopping amount of 27 fucking dollars, enough for me to grab a bottle of Vodka and not think about it for a few days.

3 days later, I had to make a tough decision

After my hangover wore off and I let my brain cool down for a few days, I finally sat down and tried to reevaluate my situation.

I started off by going back and reading the articles that had gotten me to this point, trying to figure out if there was something I missed…

And after pouring through each of these articles, dissecting every word to see if there was anything I missed…

I had to finally face harsh reality, this wasn’t going to work. Not as soon as I needed it to anyway.

Scared, broke and not sure what to do…

I jumped back on the Google machine and started looking for other ways of making money online.
I really didn’t know what I was looking for and had some vague searches at first, but then after an hour of aimlessly wandering around…

I came across an article by Ramit Sethi, saying how the biggest problem aspiring entrepreneurs face is that they don’t understand the principles of online business.

Really wasn’t sure what he was talking about at first, but as I continued to read on…
I started to see some things that made sense.

Things like:
  • How most people focused on outdated tactics, not timeless principles…
  • How very few people have the “micro-skills” to properly start a business, something none of the “gurus” ever talk about…
  • And most importantly, how most people skipped over building a foundation. A simple misstep that makes it nearly impossible to succeed online, and if you do — then it’s usually short-lived
Now this made sense to some extent, but at the same time…

It really didn’t.
I mean, I’d worked with business owners the last 5 years and had my MBA, so I had a good understanding of business…

But I guess I really wasn’t sure about online business, so I decided to humble myself and email Ramit. Seeing if there was anything I could do to learn online business the right way.
To my surprise, he emailed back the next morning and provided a lot of information…
But it all came down to 2 things I needed.

1. Learn the timeless principles of business that’ve worked for hundreds of years, including:
  • Human psychology
  • Positioning
  • Niches
  • Funnels
  • Etc…
And he said once you learned these principles, then you had to find a way to deliver them.
That was an extremely interesting concept I’d never heard of before, and after asking if he had a favorite delivery method…

He responded with one word — copywriting.

2. Learning how to freelance as this would allow me to start making money right away, keeping my motivation up and paying the bills…

While also providing the opportunity to “immerse” myself in the industry for 6 months, something that’d provide invaluable experience and allow me to see what worked and what didn’t (while getting paid for it).
Now this made sense and by this time, I’d actually dabbled with freelancing a little bit as a freelance bookkeeper, just didn’t like it as I’d spent most of my time looking for clients…

But after hearing Ramit’s advice, I immediately purchased his copywriting course (that taught all the hidden principles he’d told me about) and got to work after that.

Within 3 weeks, I knew my life had changed forever…

After getting through the first 3 modules of his copywriting course and learning about most of the hidden principles he’d talked about, I knew I’d made the right choice.
Why?
Because in these 3 modules I’d learned more about “real-life” business than I did in my 6 years of schooling.
Instead of focusing on things that didn’t matter, like reverse supply chain diversification and profit margins, we focused on important things in business — like:
  • Why people actually buy things
  • How to sell to a large audience, without ever picking up the phone or even physically talking to them
  • How to create a passive stream of income that generates revenue at all times of the day with automation, allowing you to make money without paying salaries…
And a bunch of other things that I wish I would’ve come across months before.

A few weeks later, I knew I was ready to bring my copywriting knowledge to the freelance world…

And after series of random events, I actually came across a course where this guy taught people how to get jobs on Upwork — and the crazy part was how he was a Ramit Sethi student himself.

I immediately purchased his course after learning this, essentially spending the last $1,500 I had to my “name” (even though it was credit card debt) and got to work after that.
The results?

AMAZING!

4 days after purchasing this dude’s course on how to get jobs on Upwork, I landed a long-time gig where the client was going to pay me $45/hr.

This blew my mind as that’s nearly twice as much as I’d ever made before, even in a field where I had my Master’s Degree (Accounting)…

But I wasn’t complaining, so I accepted the job and started working on it right away:

Then after 6 months of experience, I had enough money in my bank account to slow down on freelancing and try out some personal projects instead.

I started off by creating a dropshipping store, which scared me as I’d read how over 50% of these stores never get a sale…

But since I was able to apply the hidden principles Ramit taught me, along with the experience I’d gained from freelancing…

I was able to start a store in 48 hours, getting 102 sales that first week.

Now this was absolutely amazing and I LOVED how I was able to get sales at all times of the day, essentially creating a business that had no ceiling…

But there was one problem, I didn’t like what I was doing.

Sure the money was nice and I think I was making roughly $1K per week, but it wasn’t quite what I’d set out to do…

So a few weeks after that, I setup my next business — an online course that helps others start their own freelance side hustle, at a small fraction of the price I had to pay.

It took awhile to get everything together as I wanted to make it perfect and spent a lot of time “testing” it, getting real results before launching it to the public…

But a month later I was finally ready, and began setting the wheels in motion.
I spent the next few days getting my automated funnel in action, creating things like:
  • An effective landing page that’s generated conversion rates 4x higher than the industry standard…
  • An email funnel that turned the casual looksy-loo into a paying customer…
  • Along with a sales page that sold for me at all times of the day…
And after that was complete, I started putting traffic into my funnel.
Now there’s a few ways to do this and I’m sure you’ve heard of FB ads before, which do work great…

But I wanted to take a different approach and see if I could do this without spending a dime, so I created a few blog articles and let the process take care of itself after that.
The results?

Well, let’s just say I officially created a source of passive income that not only generates around $1,500/week:

And that’s why I wish every aspiring entrepreneur knew these 7 things

Long story short, after being a freelancer for the last few years and working with countless “entrepreneurs” during that time…

I am REALLY tired of seeing people read a few blog posts, learn the tactics, fire up a business and then cry once it doesn’t work right away.

Trust me, I get it. I’ve read Pat Flynn’s articles too…

Talking about how he was able to write a few blog posts and generate $100K every month, but here’s the thing — he built his online presence before blogging was cool.

Now everybody and their dog thinks they can write, and don’t get me wrong…

I’m a HUGE supporter in seeing people take the leap, publishing their thoughts to the world…

But I’m also pragmatic and realize that just makes it harder to cut through the noise, which is why every aspiring entrepreneur needs to know:

Focus on principles, not tactics

I don’t get this much anymore now that I’m established and can show results, but in the early stages of my copywriting career…

My favorite thing to hear was always “wait, you’re charging $125 for an email?!?!”

Now this obviously came from clients asking me to create a funnel for them, and happened before I raised my rates (so I only work with people who know what they’re doing)…

But with all that said, it always made me laugh as I couldn’t help but think — what, you think 5 generic emails are going to sell your course?

And in retrospect, I probably could’ve done a better job of explaining why I had to charge that much…

But that’s a story for a different time, and here’s where I’m trying to get with this…
Don’t focus on the what (emails), focus on why it works (reciprocity, breaking down false beliefs, decompression zone).

And this is something many people don’t know, but these are the same principles used for webinars, sales letters and FB funnels…

Showing that the tactic really doesn’t matter as there’s always more than one way, but you have to understand the principles in order to execute.

The takeaway:

Every “tactic” has an underlying principle.

Affiliate marketing works because people trust the person giving advice, not because they put a

hyperlink in the right place…

SEO works because Google ranks the best content at the top, not because you have the fastest site
speed or most images…

FB Ads work (for e-commerce) because they’re giving a reason to buy (i.e. discount or free plus shipping), not because FB Ads are the godsend everybody is looking for…

Copywriting works because you’re able to understand the underlying psychology of things and show people how your product (or service) can help them reach their goals, not because it’s a bunch of fancy words that makes you sound smart…

And I could go on forever, but I hope you get the hint. Always try and figure out why it works, because once you do…

Things get easy after that.

Start small and grow

It’s human nature for us to seek out the easiest method providing the fastest results (what some refer to as “cocaine” brain)…

And that’s not always a bad thing, but at the same time — it usually does more harm than good.
What do I mean?

Well, let’s go back to my story for example.

I loved the idea of affiliate marketing as it was the easiest way for me to make $1 Million and I didn’t think it’d take a long time to do.

I feel like an idiot for thinking this now, but I was seriously convinced that it was going to happen…
And that’s just one of the million examples showing how dangerous these get rich quick schemes can be, but on top of that…

It gives us WAY too much confidence as we think we’ve found our way out (i.e. bitcoin).
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of “cutting the line” and do this whenever I can…

But at the same time, I’ve studied enough psychology to understand that we need small wins along the way to keep going.

Say what?

Well, whenever we don’t see results relatively soon…

It’s really hard to find the motivation to keep going.

We instantly think we’ve made a mistake and need to cut our losses…

Which is a surefire way to fail, and that’s why I think it’s extremely important to find something you can start making money in right away (or at least soon).

This not only provides motivation to keep going, but it also gives you some extra funds to try out all those tools you’ve been eye-balling.

The takeaway:

Don’t go for the home run right away, and instead — find something you can start seeing results in relatively soon.

This is one of the many reasons why I advise freelancing, as it’s not that hard to learn (you just need a simple skill - like powerpoint design, bookkeeping or even proofreading)…

And trust me, there’s plenty of entrepreneurs out there looking for help in these fields (making it very easy to get started).

Don’t take the leap

One of the absolute worst things anybody can tell you is to “take the leap”.
This advice is usually justified with some sort of “focus” rationale, saying how you’ll only expedite your results when giving it 100% focus…

But here’s what they don’t tell you, very few people are able to get results when they’re under an immense amount of stress.

This is something I’ve really noticed after teaching students how to freelance, because the ones under a lot of stress will always burn through material and miss out on 50% of the important details…

Where students who kept their jobs and learn on the side always succeed, because they’re not having a constant panic attack and actually take the time to learn everything.

The takeaway:

Trust me, I hate jobs and never want to see anybody sacrifice precious years of their life doing something they don’t want to do…

But at the same time, I also know taking the leap is actually a slower option (for most) as it puts you under constant stress and forces you to make mistakes.

P.S. On a side note, this is another reason why I teach aspiring entrepreneurs how to freelance…
As they can easily make a full-time living working 20 hours a week (freelancing generally pays 3–4x more), giving them more time while keeping the stress away — a win-win for any aspiring entrepreneur.

It’s easier to sell (1) $200 product than it is to sell (100) $2 products

Another huge mistake I see with a lot of new entrepreneurs, and one I’ve made countless times throughout my career…

Thinking they need to sell “cheap” products as that’ll make things easier and allow them to get started right away.

Now don’t get me wrong, I can’t sit here and say cheap products aren’t easier to sell…
As that’s a no-brainer, but I don’t care if you’re selling a 50 cent sticker or a $500 course — getting sales online is very hard.

There’s so much noise out there today that people are starting to get fatigued with any type of sales pitch, expensive or not…

And trust me, it’s a lot easier to find one interested buyer for a $200 course than it is to find 100 interested buyers for a $2 sticker.

The takeaway:

Always consider profit margins when finding your product (or service).
This is one of the main reasons why I can’t stand dropshipping or affiliate marketing, as it’s a lot of work for little reward…

And even though those products are a little easier to sell than digital products (online courses or ebooks)…

They hardly ever work out in the long run.

Be human

It’s almost sad to say this, but I’ve literally made a living teaching companies how to be more “human”.
